From Lelystad to Hausen am Albis
On Wednesday September 5, 2007 I departed Lelystad to visit Carsten in Zug. There is a small private field just north of Zug where Carsten is in training for his PPL. I cleared customs in Birrfeld and then went on to Hausen where Carsten picked me up. In the evening we had dinner with some old colleague's from Zug.

From Hausen am Albis to Lugano
The next day (Thursday) Carsten and I went to Lugano. We flew the Gotthard route that we also took when we were flying to Locarno last March. In Lugano we rented a car and drove to Campione d'Italia, an Italian enclave in Switzerland, where we had lunch. Then we continued our trip around Lake Lugano (Lago di Lugano) to Porlezza where we had a drink with Marko, Nathalie and their baby-son Boris. In the evening we drove to Luino on the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore where we checked-in a hotel and had dinner.

Lunch in Bergamo
The next day (Friday), after checking out from the hotel in Luino and having breakfast on the shore of Lake Maggiore, we drove back to Lugano airport. After finishing the preflight we took of from runway 01 and then we turned right to reporting point Echo over lake Lugano. After a short flight we arrived in Bergamo's Orio Al Serio airport, where we took the bus direct to the old town on top of the hill. After lunch we went back to the airport. We departed from runway 10 and then we turned left to Calusco. We had a spectacular view on Bergamo. At Calusco we turned north to Lecco on the southen tip of Lake Como (Lago di Como). Over Menaggio we turned west to Lugano and where we landed on runway 01. After refueling and clearing customs we flew back to Hausen am Albis via the Gotthard route.

To Munich to pick up passengers
On Saturday we flew to Cologne for the 40th birthday party of Ingo and Manuela. Carsten had invited Bernd and Andrea from Munich to fly with us from Munich to Cologne and we agreed with them to pick them up at Oberschleissheim airfield, near where they live. We departed Hausen am Albis for St. Gallen to clear Swiss customs. Because Oberschleissheim has no customs available we cleared Schengen customs in Hohenems, just a jump away from St. Gallen.

In Oberschleissheim we met with Bernd and Andrea who would join us to Cologne. Passengers and fuel could easily be fitted in the PH-EAH's Weight and Balance envelope. Though visibility was good, low clouds stopped us to fly the route at a higher altitude. In the evening we had the party and it was nice to see and talk to some old colleague's from Cologne.
