From Palo Alto to Redding
On Monday, July 30, 2001, started our trip to Yellowstone (Rene, Veleda, Laurence, Charlotte, Maurits, Hans and Babette). To avoid the higher Sierra Nevada mountains near Lake Tahoe, we first flew north to Redding (map).

After a hot Chinese lunch at Redding, we continued our journey to our overnight stop-over; Winnemucca.

On Friday, August 3, we planned to go to Winnemucca. Because of the weather ahead (strong winds and thunderstorms) we diverted to Jerome.

On Saturday, August 4, 2001, we flew back to Palo Alto, via Winnemucca and Redding. It was a long flying day (06:40h).
