Crucell enters into license agreement with Molelecular Medicine
Dutch antibody and vaccine company Crucell on Thursday announced that it entered into a license agreement with San Diego-based Molecular Medicine, LLC to offer manufacturing services for clinical grade materials on Crucell's proprietary PER.C6 technology in the US. Under the terms of the agreement, Crucell will receive upfront and annual payments, as well as double-digit royalties on sales.

Dutch antibody and vaccine company Crucell saw its third quarter revenues increase by 300 % compared to the same quarter last year. Revenues for the quarter are EUR 1.2 mln (USD 1.0 mln), compared to EUR 0.6 mln (USD 0.5 mln) for the quarter ended June 30, 2000. The pro forma loss amounted to EUR 4.4 mln (USD 3.7 mln), or EUR 0.13 per share (USD 0.11), compared to EUR 2.5 mln (USD 2.1 mln) for the same period in 2000, or EUR 0.13 per share (USD 0.11).

Crucell and UMC Utrecht cooperate on treatment type 2 diabetes

Revenues of Crucell for the the full year increased 116% to Eur 6.9 million (USD 6.4 mln), mainly consisting of license fees, compared to Eur 3.2 million (USD 2.9 mln) for the corresponding year ended December 31, 1999. In line with expectations, the pro forma loss amounted to Eur 11.2 million (USD 10.3 mln), or Eur (0.46) per share (USD 0.42), as compared to Eur 7.3 million (USD 6.8 mln) in 1999, or Eur (0.42) per share (USD 0.39).
