PricewaterhouseCoopers and Exact Software join forces
Exact Software and PricewaterhouseCoopers on Tuesday announced their collaboration in bringing innovative web-based services on the market. The long-standing relationship between Exact and PricewaterhouseCoopers has now resulted in a formal agreement concerning the use of Exact's back and front office solutions, Globe 2000 and e-Synergy respectively.The contract, which covers implementation of the payroll software for PricewaterhouseCoopers customers, runs until 1 January 2004.

Exact Software acquires US-based Kent Group
Exact on Monday announced the acquisition of The Kent Group, through its recently acquired subsidiary Exact Macola. The Kent Group is one of Exact Macola's leading resellers in the United States, with offices and training facilities in Andover, Massachusetts and Orlando, Florida. The acquisition will add, on a consolidated basis, annual net revenue of over USD 3 mln and will enhance earnings immediately.

Exact Software shows strong profit increase
In 2000 the net income increased by 30% to € 28.7 million. Exact's revenue for 2000 amounted to € 164.4 million, equal to those of 1999. Over 43% of the revenue comes from outside of the Netherlands, compared to 40% in 1999. The revenue as a result of software sales in 2000 amounted to eur 58.5 million, a decrease of 13% as compared to 1999.

Customer Portal of Exact goes live in the UK
Exact UK has recently launched its Customer Portal giving access to all its customers via the Exact website (http://www.exactsoftware.com). Our customers should, by now, have received details on how to access the portal via email followed by a letter explaining how to log in. The portal has valuable information such as frequently asked questions (FAQs), an online magazine, web support facilities enabling customers to log calls online with a response time of 2 hours, product information, updates and many other functions related to maintaining their accounts.

Exact Software announces acquisition of USA-based Macola Software
Exact on Wednesday also announces the acquisition of the USA-based Macola Software (www.macola.com). With this acquisition Exact has secured a prominent position in the American market. Macola Software occupies an important position in the middle segment of the American manufacturing market. With an annual turnover of over € 30 million and a strong distribution network, Macola has an unique middle market position, with its own financial, manufacturing and logistic software packages.

Exact: to support Caterpillars global rental business
Exact Software has on Friday announced and confirmed that Caterpillar, headquartered in Peoria, North America, has agreed to a global roll-out of Exact's e-Synergy Rental Business Application. In the context of this project, Exact Software will roll out its new web-enabled rental solution to over 400 sites of Caterpillar dealers, as part of Caterpillars global plans in becoming an industry leader in e-Business.

Exact announces interim results
Exact Holding N.V. on Thursday announced the interim results for the first six months up to and including June 2000. In the first six months Exact Software reported good results, considering the hesitant and turbulent market conditions. Exact's turnover for the first half has increased by 8% compared to the same period in the previous year.

Exact Holding net profit up 73%
Exact Holding reported on Wednesday net profit for 1999 increased 73% to EUR 22.1 mln, compared with net profit of EUR 12.8 mln the company booked in the comparible period of 1998. Turnover increased 40% from EUR 118.1 mln to EUR 165.3 mln. Operating income increased 70% from EUR 16.8 mln to EUR 28.6 mln. Earnings per share for 1999 increased 63% to EUR 1.01, compared with earnings per share of EUR 0.62 for 1998.

Exact acquires software company
Exact Holding announced on Friday that it is taking over software company Paymate New Generation (PNG). PNG is active in the Dutch market as a supplier of software for payroll and Human Resources Management. PNG expects to book 1999 turnover of some NLG 5.5 mln, Exact said. The acquisition will immediately contribute to Exact's earnings per share.

Exact Holding H1 net profit doubled
Exact Holding reported on Thursday net profit for the first-half of 1999 more than doubled to NLG 20.4 mln, compared with net profit of NLG 9.5 mln the company booked in the comparible period of 1998. Turnover increased 43% from NLG 113.6 mln to NLG 162.5 mln. Exact said the increase was largely independent of acquisitions and had surpassed its own expectations.

Exact acquires German Soft Research
Exact Holding announced on Thursday that it has reached an agreement in principle on the acquision of all shares in Soft Research of Germany. Soft Research is marketleader in Germany with salary software packages for small companies and is growing strongly, Exact said. The company was founded in 1981 and booked 1998 turnover of EUR 9.3 mln.

Porceleyne Fles files claim against Exact
Porceleyne Fles is claiming 'several ten-thousend guilders' from Exact because of problems with several software packages of Exact in the past months. Meanwhile the problems have been solved, but Porceleyne Fles is seeking compensation for the extra expenses it had to make.
