CSS into partnership KPN and Oracle
CSS announces that the electronic marketplace for ICT Products ATCOST PLUS, in which CSS has a 49% interest, has reached definitive agreement regarding the establishment of a joint venture that will operate under the name PROCLARE. As share partners, KPN and Atcostplus each hold 50% of the shares. Oracle will participate as software partner to support the business processes.

Belcom solutions strengthens CSS' Belgian telecom activities
Today ICT services provider Computer Services Solutions N.V. (CSS) reached agreement in principle with the shareholders of Belcom Solutions SA in Brussels regarding the acquisition of this company. Belcom Solutions is a full service provider that is active in the field of marketing, sales, installation and service of Avaya and other telecommunication solutions.

CSS'results in first six months 2001
IT and Telecom services provider Computer Services Solutions Holding N.V. (CSS) achieved satisfactory results in the first six months of 2001 despite a reluctant ICT market. The company realized earnings per share of € 0.53, a 15% increase compared to € 0.46 in the same period of 2000. The first six months of 2001, were characterized by achieving cost-savings through combining existing operations and acquisitions, which made it possible to compensate for a decrease in demand from telecom operators and financial institutions in difficult market conditions.

Private issue of new CSS shares
IT and Telecom service provider Computer Services Solutions Holding N.V. (CSS) has privately placed 800,000 new shares with institutional investors in the Netherlands and abroad. The proceeds of this share issue will in principle be used to finance future acquisitions. The expectation is that, in line with the strategic principles of CSS, the utilization of new capital for acquisitions will lead to a further improvement in the earnings per share of CSS.

CSS will cut costs to improve its gross margin. In addition, the company will close service contracts with a longer period to maturity. Net profits rose by 40% to EUR 19.1 mln in 2000, compared with EUR 13.7 mln in 1999. Gross profits rose to EUR 126 mln in 2000, compared with EUR 100 mln in 1999. Net turnover rose by 27% to EUR 196 mln. Eleven new acquisitions and the demerger of the Atcostplus division contributed to an increased profit margin.

Despite a difficult ICT market, CSS achieved results that are in line with earlier statements. Earnings per share rose by 25% to EUR 1.05, compared to EUR 0.84 in 1999. Net profit increased by 40% to EUR 19.1 mln, compared to EUR 13.7 mln in 1999.

Landis and CSS exchange sales subsidiaries
Dutch telecoms companies Landis and CSS are exchanging activities. CSS will acquire subsidiaries of Landis which are involved with sales of telephone products to small companies, while Landis will take over a CSS distributive trading company. Landis will sell three subsidiaries: TAB Telecom, Sekuritel and Protel, which employ a combined 188 staff members. Landis acquired these subsidiaries at the acquisition of Dutch telecoms company Detron last year.

CSS says 1Q results satisfactory
Computer Services Solutions (CSS) said at the general meeting of shareholders on Wednesday that a satisfactory result was achieved in the first quarter of 2000. Even though the year got off to a slow start, the development of turnover, gross margin, profit and order portfolio was such that earnings per share in 2000 are expected to remain "strong" (20-30%), in keeping with the previously stated forecast.

Turnover rose by EUR 210.2 mln from EUR 69.2 mln to EUR 279.4 mln. Operating income tripled from EUR 6.6 mln to EUR 19.7 mln. Earnings per share for 1999 increased 31% to EUR 0.84, compared with earnings per share of EUR 0.64 for 1998.
