Eriks Group: sale of Aircool
Reference is made to our press release of 21 September 2001 in which we informed you of the agreement in principal that had been reached to sell all shares of Aircool bv. The sale of Aircool bv has now been finalized. Today all shares have been sold to Elsmark Holding A/S, Nordborg, Denmark, part of the Danfoss group.

President and CEO of Eriks Group
Mr. A.W.L.M. Goud, President and CEO of ERIKS group nv, has decided in good consultation with the Supervisory Board to resign from his position due to differences in culture. Mr. Goud will be focusing on something else in future. Mr. H. Kreuger (58) has been appointed President and CEO of ERIKS group nv as of on Thursday. Mr. Kreuger is already for many years in the employ of the ERIKS group and since 1 July 1998 member of the Executive Board of ERIKS group nv.

Eriks: expectations for the year 2001
The results for the 9 months 2001 are in line with our previously pronounced expectations that results from ordinary activities before amortization of goodwill will increase by 15 to 20% compared to the year 2000. The report of 30 August 2001 they already indicated that growth in sales stagnates due to lower industrial activities.

Agreement in principle for the sale of Aircool
ERIKS group nv has reached an agreement in principle to sell all shares of Aircool bv, Ridderkerk, the Netherlands to Elsmark Holding A/S, Nordborg, Denmark, part of the Danfoss group, Denmark as of 1 July 2001. Aircool bv is a trading company in the field of components and units `refrigeration and climate control'.

Net result H1 2001 Eriks Group EUR 10.4 mln
The operating result amounted to EUR 12.8 mln, an increase of EUR 3.6 mln or 39% compared to the first half year 2000. In percentage of sales, the operating result increased from 6.3% in the first half year 2000 to 7.1% in 2001. This increase is mainly due to improved productivity. The management of all operating companies gives primary importance to increasing efficiency and effectiveness.

Autonomous growth amounted to 6.3%. All regions, with the exception of North America, contributed to this growth. North America showed a marked decrease of industrial industry. Operating result amounted to EUR 6.1 mln, an increase of EUR 2.0 mln or 47% compared to the first quarter 2000. As a percentage of sales, the operating result increased to 7.0%.

Eriks has reached an agreement to acquire Bruhamij BV as of 01/03/01
Eriks group nv has reached an agreement to acquire all shares of Bruhamij Kunststoffen bv in Ede, the Netherlands as of 1 March 2001. The activities of Bruhamij comprise the marketing and sale of industrial plastics (semi- finished and finished product) to the industrial end user market. With 50 employees, sales of EUR 9.5 mln is achieved.

Financial results 2000 Eriks Group
The year 2000 was a successful year for ERIKS group nv. While 1999 was closed with a strong drop in results and had to be described as `transitional' year, the year 2000 is the year in which ERIKS resumed its profitable course. A cash dividend of EUR 1.75 per share of EUR 1.= will be proposed at the annual general meeting of shareholders on 17 May 2001, payable on 28 May 2001.

Eriks: who buys whom?
Austrian manufacturer of sinks and bubble baths Hild is reported to have taken a 20% stake in Eriks, a Dutch technical wholesaler. Eriks generated a turnover of EUR 281 mln in 1999. Hild is much smaller and its performances have been disappointing in the past few years. Its turnover has been under pressure for years.

Eriks, the Dutch supplier of technical components and systems, has resumed its search for a strong partner. The company announced yesterday that it was in talks with unnamed parties. Chairman Jan van Dijk, who is due to leave the company, said that it will be the job of his successor to make a decision about the future of the company.

Eriks Holding reported on Wednesday net profit for the first-half of 2000 increased 63% to EUR 6.7 mln, compared with net profit of EUR 4.1 mln the company booked in the comparible period of 1999. Turnover increased 7% from EUR 136.1 mln to EUR 145.8 mln. Operating income increased 48% from EUR 6.2 mln to EUR 9.2 mln. Earnings per share for the first-half of 2000 increased 47% to EUR 3.81, compared with earnings per share of EUR 2.59 for the first-half of 1999.

Eriks announced on Thursday that it has acquired Belgium Vemoflex Groep of Mollem. Vemoflex is active in the marketing and sale of industrial hoses and accessories. The company employs about 100 people and has annual sales of some EUR 18 mln. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Trading company Eriks is looking for a strong partner in order to realise further growth. The company might be delisted from the Amsterdam stock exchange, Dutch daily De Telegraaf reported. Eriks is looking for a partner in the Netherlands and abroad. Eriks booked 1999 net profit of EUR 0.5 mln on turnover of EUR 281 mln.

Eriks said on Wednesday that its (provisional) 1999 result decreased 35% to about NLG 16.5 mln, which is to be used for a reorganisation. At the presentation of the first-half results the company announced the profit fall, but results are worse than expected. Turnover for 1999 is expected to increase by a few percents to NLG 665 mln.

Eriks said on Thursday that it expects net profit for the first-half of 1999 will fall behind the NLG 13 mln the company booked for the first-half of 1998. The company said that its turnover for the first-half of 1999 fell about 3%, while its operating result fell some 30-35% compared with the first-half of 1998.

Eriks reported slightly lower margins in 1998 due to higher training costs for logistics and information technology projects. Net profit increased 7.6% to NLG 25.1 mln on turnover up 10% at NLG 605 mln. Operating profit advanced 7.2% to NLG 38.1 mln, while earnings per share rose 8.7% to NLG 14.28. The company said with the exception of Belgium, where results were pressured by staff problems, operating profit at all operations was equal or higher than the previous year.

Eriks is to acquire Badoux Industrie of France. Badoux Industrie markets and sells components for drive systems and generates annual turnover of some NLG 13 mln with a staff of 41. Eriks expects synergy effects from its latest acquisition. Eriks said that the French company's product range, customers and suppliers fit will with those of Eriks in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

In the preliminary figures Eriks reports net profit for 1997 has increased with 5% at NLG 23.4 mln, compared with NLG 22.3 mln for 1996. Turnover rose with 21% from NLG 453.3 mln to NLG 549.7 mln. Operating result increased with 5% from NLG 33.6 mln to NLG 35.4 mln. The acquisition of German trading house Heusinger + Salmon Gruppe accounted for about two-thirds of the sales increase.
