From Lelystad to Worms
On Thursday, April 2 2009, Walters and Rene departed Lelystad for a trip to the Aero 2009 at Friedrichshafen. Because the trip was decided on just a few days before departure, taking weather into account, we could not find available accommodation anymore nearby Friedrichshafen. Rene had been in Konstanz in 2006, and knew about the ferry from Konstanz to Friedrichshafen. A hotel in Konstanz near the port was available, and we were all set to go. We flew first to Worms, and then continued to Konstanz.

The next day we visited the Aero Friedrichshafen. Despite the downbeat in the economy the trade show was well attended. After leaving the trade show we enjoyed a good beer in Friedrichshafen at the lake.

From Konstanz to Altenrhein
The next day, on Saturday, we went on a flying trip through Switzerland. Visibility was a bit disappointing with a cloud base just a few thousand feet high, so we avoided the high Alps. Luckely during the day the weather improved, though we did not reach high visibility numbers. We hopped a few airports before ending the day in Thun at the Thunersee.

From Thun to Lelystad
On Sunday, April 5 2009, we flew back to Lelystad. We checked the weather, NOTAM's and filed a flight plan with the Skyguide system, and then we went en-route. Near Bern we reached an overcast area which we overflew at FL105. In Holland there was also overcast, and we had to fly low the last 50 minutes of the leg before reaching Lelystad.
