CSM divests confectionery operations in China
CSM nv has divested its Chinese hardboiled candy business through a management buy-out. The deal came into effect on 1 January 2002. CSM Sugar Confectionery was a small player in the pastille market in China. The operations accounted for an annual turnover of approximately EUR 5 mln. As was announced at the presentation of the CSM figures for 2000/2001, the limited operational scale led to disappointing results in China.

Delft Instruments definitely acquired Contrec in Australia
Delft Instruments N.V. confirms that the earlier announced acquisition of all Contrec Pty. shares has been effected on 9 January 2002. Contrec is located in Melbourne, Australia and develops and manufactures instrumentation equipment, systems and software for the process-, oil- and gasindustries. Contrec is an expert in Fuel Management Systems used in tankfarms within the petrochemical industry.

Provisional results 4th quarter/financial year 2001
The net income of Oc‚ N.V. from ordinary activities in the 2001 financial year amounted to euro 105 million, which was 31% lower than in 2000. Net income per ordinary share decreased by 32% to euro 1.19. After allowing for a one-off restructuring provision of euro 125 million (gross) the net income after exceptional items amounts to euro 10 million.

United Services Group N.V. of Almere, The Netherlands, announces the justified expectation, within the foreseeable future, of agreement on the sale of the software development specialist business, KPD Groep to Telematica Groep of Weert, The Netherlands. The core activities of KPD Groep now match less well with the activities of United Services Group which focuses on services in and around the labour market.
